Soothing Chamomile Almond Latte
Gentle, caffeine-free, and deeply calming, this chamomile almond latte is one of my favorite afternoon or evening rituals. The floral warmth of chamomile blends with the subtle nuttiness of almond milk for a drink that soothes the nervous system and supports rest – a lovely way to unwind or prepare for sleep.
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or oat milk)
- 1 chamomile tea bag (or 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers)
- 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch turmeric or nutmeg (optional)
Warm almond milk in a small pot until just below simmering.
Add chamomile and steep for 5-7 minutes, covered.
Remove the tea bag (or strain flowers), then whisk in vanilla and cinnamon.
Sweeten to taste and pour into your favorite mug.
Froth the top or sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon for a cozy finish.
Optional Add-Ons:
- Add 1 tsp coconut oil for extra creaminess and brain-supporting fats.
- Use lavender or lemon balm with chamomile for an even more calming effect.
Why It’s Healing:
Chamomile gently relaxes the body and reduces stress-induced inflammation, while almond milk provides soothing nourishment and a touch of plant-based protein. This latte supports rest, calm digestion, and overall balance – especially helpful during recovery or in times of high stress.
